Doing Life archaelogy...SIMPLICITY

You are forever in my life
You see me through the seasons
Cover me with Your hand
And lead me in Your righteousness
And I look to You
And I wait on You

I will sing to You, Lord
A hymn of love
For Your faithfulness to me
Im carried in everlasting arms
Youll never let me go
Through it all

What a fascinating concept to return to Xanga.   Looking back at the remnants of year 2007 brings back fond memories of two years back.   Those were the times where I wrote the most songs, had time to reflect on life (so as to write both stupid and thoughtful blogs),  and just simply knew that God was God, that God was Good, for really...that's all that matters for a Faithful heart.

How fascinating it is also to acknowledge how Growing in Age makes Faithfulness suddenly so Difficult, and makes you wonder...how far along have I really come in growing in my faith?

Year 2007-2008 was the greatest year of discerment for me.  Somewhere along the lines of affirming my role in Youth For Christ, striving for Holiness in the midst of the World, hoping and praying for healing of my Family, recovering my Lost identity, and Expanding my Territory (Jabez), God somehow became an overbearing mirage, and being faithful seemed so far from being simple. Having been eaten by the expectations of it all, it's amazing how after all is said and done, the message God was simply directing to my heart was:

"Be still and know...how simply good I am."

Hmm...relish the thought..."Truth embraced leaves a good aftertaste", said a friend of mine once.

Suddenly, the concept of being the only "Bible a person will ever see" becomes less daunting than before.  Nothing is more powerful than the trust in a Faithful, and Loving God who desires no more than to see our hearts sing out of love for Him.

No sense of time...or is this really His time?

Oh boy..I wonder?

I'm DONE my psych paper, which I believe is a relief considering it should have been done a long time ago. Much like so many things, my concept of time seems to have been lost somehow, and literally it feels like I'm just going with A flow of things. The weird part is, I've escaped unscathed thus far.

I've never really lived a moment in life where I truly felt that saying "God owns all, even time." While I may be testing and trying many waters, these last few weeks in school, work, and formal planning, have led me to believe that God's time really does OWN the world's time.I will never ever deliberately usurp my studies for the sake of idleness, but nowadays there seems to be greater things, greater things than this life to His eyes, that I can't help want to sacrifice the time...

We should never ever deliberately usurp our anything for the sake of idleness, but sometimes there will be greater things, greater things than this life to His eyes, that we shouldnt help but want to sacrifice the time...

So..until I fall out of sync with God's time (which I know will eventually happen, but I praying it doesnt, haha), I just want to say, while the occasion seems right:

It IS possible to surrender all that much to Him, in such a way that even worldly TIME seems to be in His control...

If you don't believe me, I'll lend you my book ;)

God Bless friends, Happy Easter :).

At the foot of the huge painted Cross...

So I've woken up from a nap, one that I took when we got back from Easter vigil Mass at St-Davids. It's almost 2, I'm sitting in our prayer room, at the foot of the huge painted Cross, suddenly awake and here I am on xanga..

People undergo all types of conversion over the Easter season. I love seeing that part of the Mass where people get baptized, or confirmed in front of the whole Church. There is something magical, no, something so utterly spiritually real when people invoke the power of the Holy Spirit, and in the time of Easter especially...you get to know, concretly that He IS really there.

Christ is real...Me oh my, And if we were to take that "leap of faith" truly.... we realize how much Christ's life can be real in us.

I.e there is no Cross we can't bear, and no sacrifice we cannot give . Oh man, once this is understood, it makes life so much simpler, so peaceful, knowing that He alone is sufficient, and that He will provide..

His Passionate crowd

Looking at the faces I can see
You're in the grins I meet
The light that fills the seams..

Looking at the frowns I can discern
All the laughs that could be
The joy that can heal...

All the hurts You felt when You bled on the Cross
for me
And just a glimmer of this hope leads me to believe
true peace is near...

If I walk beside You always
If I smile when I am on my knees
If you're the one I want to please, yeah

So I'll dream of Your sight only
And though the world seems greater than me
With You I am complete...

[...]

Standing in square I observe
All the feets that can be achieved
The zeal that can appear...

Eyeing out the people I can sense
the subtle want for You
Oh with You, all fears just disapear, yeah

Because You crucified them all
when you died on that Cross for me..
And now that glimmer shines so brightly
True peace here, if I just believe

So I'll walk beside You always
I'll smile when I am on my knees
You're the one I want to please

And  I'll dream of Your sight only
And though the world seems greater than me
With You I am complete..

[...]

So to You I'll finally take a leap
in the crowd that needs Your passion
and I know You'll make good on Your promise
to be there right for me

So in the moonlight when I walk
The unease wil never scare me still
I know You're with me
I know You're with me

Now I am free...
I am free...
I am free...
to simply be.

So I'll walk beside You always
You're the smile when I am on my knees
You're the one I want to please..

And Ill dream of Your sight only
Cuz what the world needs is greater than me
and You are all I need

Saints

"When we  do something out of sense of duty, it is easy to explain the reasons for our actions to others. But when we do something  out of obedience to the Lord, there can be no other explanation-just obedience.

That's why a saint can be so easily ridiculed and misunderstood..."
-Oswald Chambers

"God needs not to beg for our obedience. He commands us to obey through sincerity of a pleading heart."

My quest for 99 cent broccoli

And now for something light hearted

Well, it's 10:30; Ive just woken up, only to leave in less that an hour and a half again. Seems like I'm always leaving the house, only to return in the late hours nowadays; meetings here and there, adventures here and there, I wonder when will the time God says: "Time to rest, my luv". haha. Hmmmm...

The other day I went on an adventure to cook Beef and Broccoli for supper. We had no broccoli in the house, so my mom gave me 6 dollars to buy milk ( we had run out too), and the broccoli. I was skeptic at the amount, but my mom assured me, "You can get broccoli for 99 cents, just go to Adonis".

And so I depart, in the cold air, and equally super cold snow. Pull up into Adonis, make my way to the vegetable section, zero my radar eyes onto the broccoli and trudge excitedly to its side. I pull up a bag, ready to bag my prize, when suddenly, the price sign makes me drop everything.

2, 29$ ??? =O

This can't be, I think. 99 cents! So I get out of Adonis, back into the car, and make my way to Super C (which is a few blocks down from Adonis). I do the same process again, thinking "this is the one, where I find my 99 cent broccoli!", but then...

2,49 !!!

Oh man, i was shocked. Lesson learned, there is no such thing as 99 cent broccoli. Digesting that was very hard, so I erred the supermarket aimlessly, almost mopping, but not really, haha. I end up in the frozen food section, where this little canned, white, subtle can catches my eye...It's..

CANNED LOBSTER! Item I've been searching for in months!

Praise God! Now I can finally make lobster rolls! Lobster party, Tudy! Now all this adventure was WORTH it. It's amazing how much God surpises you when you see nothing then what you expect to see.

That was an awesome day.

(PS: It turns out the milk was 30 cents cheaper at Super C, so I did save some by doing my second trip! )
